Incredimail Problems  :Call @ 1-855-785-2511(Toll Free)

by essexe / March 5, 2008 11:23 PM PST
yesterday when I tried to open my incredimail, I received a message that I needed to update flash, I have tried over and over again and nothing is working and my e-mail won’t open and I cannot get to all my files. This is freaking me out. Is anyone else having this problem. I have a paid version and have been running it for 5 years with no problems. Any suggestions> I have already tried system restore, and this didn’t work either.

What I would try

I don’t use Incredimail so I no little about it, but as it asked you to update Flash I would uninstall all versions of Flash Player and Shockwave from your Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, reboot the computer, then head off to Adobe to install the latest versions.Adobe Flash Player 9 here; http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and
Adobe Shockwave Player here; http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/Reboot again then try Incredimail.

The reason for the first reboot is to ensure all references to Flash and Shockwave have been removed from the registry, and the second reboot is to ensure the new versions have been registered in the registry.

Thank You !!!!! Mark …It Worked!! I will sleep tonight. I also copied and saved my important information to My Documents. That was the biggest fear…losing all this info. I’m also going to find a better e-mail program to correspond with business transactions. I’ll keep incredimail for the fun / personal e-mails.Again…Thank You Mark!!! Happy

Excellent, and thank you for posting back.May I suggest some more steps?1] Backup

You have had a scare with this but fortunately everything has worked out, and I see you have now saved your important information to another location on your computers hard disk. Is now the time to consider proper backups?

Making copies and saving such information/files elsewhere on the disk is a good idea, if the software fails. But if you have a hardware failure, like a hard disk failure, then you stand to lose everything. Sadly, hard disks tend to go, and when they do it is often sudden and fatal. Saving, (or backing up), your important and personal, cannot lose, files and information helps to minimize the pain of recovering from such failure.

Many people now employ external USB hard disks and these are cheap enough and very useful. I use them myself. But they are hard disks as well and so for greater security and peace of mind backing up to removable media like CD or DVD is much better. As well as backing up to my external hd I also back up those important files to DVD’s. It’s a pain sometimes, but I feel more secure afterwards.

2] Other email software  : Call @ 1-855-785-2511(Toll Free)

There are many other choices out there, including web based email options, (your ISP may have web mail options). I know a lot of people still use Outlook with an Exchange server for Corporate use or Outlook Express for business and/or private use, but sadly Microsoft email products have their detractors, not least because anything Microsoft is targeted by viruses and spyware writers more than other software.

I use Mozilla’s Firefox browser and the accompanying Thunderbird email software. Both available from
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/ and perhaps they are products you can consider.

Good luck, and I trust you had a good night’s sleep, Devil

Sorry Mark, let me butt in here…

essexe,I tried incredimail for a couple of days on XP SP2 and it made my system so unstable I had to uninstall it and get a refund. I had “flash” problems as well. I believe part of the problem is that incredimail conflicts with other programs running in background. Too bad, I really liked that butler coming out to tell me I got mail….sir.Hopefully, they’ll get their act together soon.

and life goes on…

Jack… Mark had the right solution, but I thank you for the feedback. I like Incredimail for the fun aspect, but will not trust to mail or file anything important data. I am looking for a safe e-mail program that will allow me to sleep at night.
As for Incredimail… Will continue to send fun e-mails to personal friends.

I’ve had problems with Incredimail downloading.

Incredimail wont continue to download and it sticks. It never happened before. and now, all of a sudden my computer wont work good anymore.. I didnt put the same incredimail on my other computer and same type of computer and it doesnt happen.. my other computer dont act the same as the one that incredimail is on.. I only went on this last time to try and retrieve an old email address to a friend. and darn, it wont even open up.. I have 2 Gen 2’s. It seems the one without the incredimail is faster than the one with the incredimail. I turn them on at the same time.. I’m wondering if incredimail might have taken memory??? i feel that way.. maybe someone out there knows.
Plz tell us, so we may understand.. Thanks

What are your IncrediMail settings? Do you have it set to start when Windows starts? Also, do you have it set to check for new mail when it starts? Don’t do this!In fact, the only programs that should be set to start on any computer when you turn it on are your security suites: anti-virus, anti-spam and the like. Of course, that’s JMO, but I run laptops and not desktops. The only exception I make to the other laptop is MagicJack as that’s what I use for a house phone.Back to IncrediMail: How long have you had it? When was the last time you cleaned out the Runtime folders associated with IM? If you send/receive a lot of email with graphics and IncrediLetters then those need to be cleaned out about every 3 months…or anytime you defrag.

IncrediMail

I have used IncrediMail since it first came out. Of course, being a business owner, it is totally inappropriate. However, it was a fun program to send email to friends and family. With the last download, we started having serious problems. When you send email, it shuts the program down and a pop-up error comes up with a message to send an error report to IncrediMail. I can receive incoming emails but most of my outgoing emails never work. They just added 3D and availability to put your own photo in outgoing emails. That has never worked. In addition with the new version, you can not longer print email messages, coupons, or any incoming email messages. I am so disappointed since I really loved the program. My husband gave up and abandoned the program about 6 months ago due to the problems I described. Do not bother to write tech support either because you will NOT get a response. What surprises me is that they are still adding new email letters, email cards, sounds, and animations. I wonder what happened to the program and why no one will help resolve the problems? I was/am a VIP user so this is very disappointing when you invest in a program that you think after taking your money will be around to support their program…

Incredimail compatability

I have found out that IncredimailPremium2 is not compatible with Windows xp. Incredimail will not send or receive after the update to IncredimailPremium2. I installed the previous version and it works perfectly. Depending on which operating system is used, other problems may occur. IncredimailPremium2 is for Windows7.
